Fraser Valley Symphony

The Fraser Valley Symphony is a wonderful, highly talented ensemble of Fraser Valley musicians. Conducted by Lindsay Mellor, the symphony performs four concerts per season in Abbotsford.

The Situation
As with many non-profits, the symphony had a limited budget and could only use free or low-cost services for their initial website. When she heard they wanted to redo their site, Radiance Dream Professional Web Design offered to assist them.

The Solution
The first step was to revise and simplify the FVS logo. From there, Radiance worked with a team of musicians and board members to develop the material for the new site.

Cynthia Flood, Award Winning Canadian Writer

The Situation
Cynthia had a website done by Radiance for the launch of her previous book, “The English Stories”. With a new book coming out, it was time to redo the site.

The Solution
Radiance and Cynthia worked together to create a plan for the new site that would promote the Cynthia Flood’s new book, “Red Girl Rat Boy”. The site was designed using the WordPress content management system which allowed us to integrate a blog into the site.  Radiance taught Cynthia how to keep her blog updated and Cynthia has been actively blogging and keeping her readers up to date with her schedule and happenings in the literary world.

The Situation
This company has been in business for over twenty years on Vancouver Island. The site had been redesigned several times but was due for a major upgrade.

The Solution
We were asked in late April to update the site, make it mobile ready, and have it completed in time for a 20th Anniversary event in May 2013.  In spite of a short timeline, it was ready to go well in advance of the big event.

Sweet Pea Quilting

The Situation
Sweet Pea Quilting had a website was not using a content management system and that made it difficult to update with classes and events. As well, the site’s design was ready for a facelift.

The Solution
Working with Radiance, Alvina, owner of the shop, decided what she wanted the new site to include and how she wanted it to look. Using WordPress, Radiance rebuilt the site and gave it a custom appearance suitable to the function and audience. Radiance then trained Alvina to add to her site’s blog and to add events to the calendar. Seasonally, Alvina has Radiance update the classes.

Midislanders for Justice and Peace

The Situation
A new person had to take over management of the website. To simplify this, I offered to help this non-profit update their website using WordPress.

The Solution
We used the existing material to create a new site with an events calendar that was easy to maintain.
