Hi Everyone, I’ll be at the Kariton Art Gallery on Saturday, March 21st at noon for an artist talk. I’d love to see you there. Be sure to register via the Arts Council Website link below. Here is the information from the Abbotsford Arts Council website. The Abbotsford Arts Council is hosting a free public artist talk and demonstration featuring local student artist Radiance Dream on March 21, 2015, from 12pm to 1:30pm at the Kariton Art Gallery (2387 Ware Street, Abbotsford). Radiance is one of the eleven university student artists showing their work from March 7 to 31, 2015 during the Kariton Art Gallery’s University Student Show. She will demonstrate how to create texture and layers using a variety of tools and acrylic media while exploring the textured effects of everything from a flyswatter to combs and spatulas. Space is limited. Pre-registration is required via Eventbrite at abbotsfordartscouncil.eventbrite.ca or at the Kariton Art Gallery. Now retired, Radiance originally learned to draw at the Monart School in Los Angeles before going on to study art at the College of the Desert in California. After spending the summer of 1990 painting in Bali, Indonesia, Radiance moved to Greece where she worked as a teacher and web designer before enrolling in the Visual Arts program at the University of the Fraser Valley. For additional information, please contact the Abbotsford Arts Council by phone at (604) 852-9358, by email at info@abbotsfordartscouncil.com, or visit abbotsfordartscouncil.org.
